B&G and Simrad to be distributed alongside Northstar
Navico has appointed Mastervolt Sweden AB as the sole Swedish distributor of B&G and Simrad products as of 1st August 2007. Mastervolt will continue to distribute the Navico owned Northstar range under the new agreement.
The appointment ensures a logical approach to Navico brands distribution in Sweden, where Navpoint AB is firmly established as Navico’s sole distributor of Eagle and Lowrance products.
“The move to distribute through Mastervolt will significantly increase Navico's support and service capability in the Swedish market for both boat builders and end-users,” says Jens-Thomas Pietralla, Navico President and CEO.
“The appointment of Mastervolt is a result of an extensive and ongoing review of our worldwide distribution”
“Navpoint AB will continue its work with Eagle and Lowrance ensuring our group distribution set-up in Sweden plays to the strengths of our brands,” concluded Pietralla.
Mastervolt Sweden AB is the Swedish subsidiary of Mastervolt, a worldwide supplier of electrical power solutions to a variety of markets. The company is well known within the marine industry and will provide Navico with strong sales and logistical support in Sweden.
As a result of the new Swedish distribution organisation, Simrad AB will be closed, with all functions as B&G and Simrad distributor being transferred to Mastervolt Sweden AB.
“We are looking forward to expanding on our marine electronics portfolio and our existing Northstar activity. The strong foundations that Simrad AB has already put in place will give us a platform to ensure that all Navico brands are highly visible in the vibrant Swedish market,” comments Ulf Andersson, General Manager, Mastervolt Sweden AB.
