Lowrance, a world-leading brand in marine electronics innovation, has announced the launch of the Navico Expansion Port-1. Providing simple and quick ethernet connection to a single Lowrance echosounder/chartplotter screen, the Expansion Port-1 (pictured right) allows the sharing of echosounder graph displays across up to four compatible Lowrance display devices, including Lowrance chartplotter-only models.
With maximum flexibility and lightning fast speed, the Navico Expansion Port-1 is also an indispensable tool for display of broadband sounder echo clarity and underwater definition when networked with the new Lowrance Broadband Sounder-1 module.
“The Navico Expansion Port-1 offers Lowrance marine electronics and Broadband Sounder-1 owners the ultimate in configuration flexibility,” said Gordon Sprouse, Director of Marketing at Lowrance.
“Users can select the Lowrance systems that best suit their needs and connect them to industry-leading sounder technology with minimal installation hassle. It’s the ideal solution for every angler
and leisure boater!”
The Navico Expansion Port-1 features a 100-megabit switch for high-speed data transfers and is compatible with all 2007 and later color LCX-, LMS-, X and GlobalMap models. A free operating firmware upgrade may be required for some products. A truly scalable device, the module can be linked to other Navico Expansion Port-1 modules for future expansion. Fully waterproof to IPX7 (submersible) standards, the Expansion Port-1 has an input voltage range of 9.5 to 32 vDC and comes with a full one-year warranty.

Editors’ notes:
Lowrance has been a world-leading brand in marine electronics since 1957 and in GPS navigational systems since 1992. In 2002, Lowrance was the first to integrate with Navionics to provide high-detail charting options via the convenience of the Lowrance innovation of plug-and-play MMC/SD memory card slots on marine
electronics.
The Lowrance® brand is wholly owned by Navico, Inc., a privately held, international marine electronics company. Navico is currently the world’s largest marine electronics company, and is the parent company to seven well-established marine electronics brands: B&G, Eagle, Lowrance, MX Marine, Navman, Northstar and Simrad.
